The restoration of a photograph is accomplished by scanning or photographing the original and making the repairs through the use of the computer with a good photo program. Once the original photograph is scanned, it is put aside; all repairs take place on the scanned image.
I can also work with a jpeg that has been scanned or photographed. The jpeg may be sent via e-mail. Please contact me before sending an image to discuss the necessary scan quality needed for optimal results.
All photographs are repaired and the final results are printed digitally on Epson photo papers, which is guaranteed by the manufacturer to last in excess of 100 years.
There are some photographs that are so damaged that it can not be repaired for the normal prices quoted. I reserve the right to refuse a job if I feel that I cannot repair it properly. Not all photographs can be repaired, some would require more work than would be realistic or may be so damaged that attempting to restore it would be futile.
